Foreigners may undertake and continue education, and participate in scientific research or developmental works on the basis of the principles applicable to citizens of Poland if they:

  • have been granted a permanent residence permit;
  • are holders of the Pole’s Card (Karta Polaka).
  • hold refugee status as granted by the Republic of Poland;
  • have been granted temporary protection in the territory of the Republic of  Poland;
  • have been granted complementary protection in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
  • are migrating employees, being citizens of a member state of the European Union or of a member state of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – the sides of the agreement on European Economic Area, if they are or were employed in Poland, including members of their families, if they abide in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
  • in the territory of the Republic of Poland, have been granted a long-term EU resident permit;
  • in the territory of the Republic of Poland, have been granted a temporary residence permit due to circumstances stated in Art. 127, Art. 159 Section 1 or Art. 186 Section 1, Subsection 3 or 4 of the Act on Foreigners of 12 December, 2013 (Journal of Laws Item 1650);

Foreigners may pursue studies on other principles than applying to Polish citizens, on the basis of:

  • international agreements, according to the principles stipulated therein;
  • agreements drawn between the University and foreign institutions, according to the principles stipulated therein;
  • decisions of the Minister responsible for the higher education system or the Minister referred to in Art. 33 Section 3 of the Act of 27 July 2005 Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2005, No. 164, Item 1365, as amended);
  • decisions of the Rector:
  • as holders of scholarships granted by the Polish side;
  • upon payment of due fees;
  • without paying fees or receiving scholarship-related benefits;
  • as holders of scholarships granted by the sending party, without paying fees for the education;
  • as holders of scholarships granted by a given university.

Candidates should proceed with recruitment, by registering in the system of Internet Enrolment of Candidates (IRK) and submitting all required documents by the deadlines listed in the admission schedule.
